Introduction to Bridge

Proton Mail Bridge is officially supported for up-to-date 64-bit versions of Windows 10 (22H2) and Windows 11. When it comes to macOS, Bridge is officially supported on the last two major releases, which are macOS 14 (Sonoma) and macOS 15 (Sequoia).

On Linux, Bridge is available as 64-bit DEB, RPM, and PKGBUILD packages. Proton Mail Bridge is currently officially supported for the latest LTS version of Ubuntu and the latest version of Fedora Workstation.

When it comes to hardware, Bridge supports only 64-bit systems and doesn’t support ARM devices other than those running on Apple silicon (M-series Macs). The disk space required will depend on your mailbox size. For memory, Bridge shouldn’t use more than 2 GB of RAM at any time.

Official support for an operating system means that we test each release with each system. We will be able to provide the highest level of technical support for officially supported versions. Other versions that fit the system requirements should work, however, they have not been fully tested on our side.
